No class tomorrow.

February 28, 2007

Okay…let’s go…about 3 people are completely caught up and finished everything…they are waiting for the rest of you to catch up. Look at yesterday’s post.

Grade 9s: Have you finished the Series 1&2 Word Processing Assignments and emailed them to calebmorton2001@yahoo.ca?

Grade 11s & 12s: Have you finished the Series 3&4 Word Processing Assignments and emailed them to calebmorton2001@yahoo.ca?

Have you finished all 3 of Jeg’s Works Quiz Assignments?

If you have you rule! Help someone out that has not.

Thanks Morton.

Tuesday Tasks

February 27, 2007

Keep following the instructions…and catch up…a few people have left the rest of you in the dust. I want to have everyone on the same page by Wednesday…so if you are finished help somebody out.

A little side task for today: go to nickspot and follow his instructions on how to insert an animationn on to your blog (notice my Homer).

Morton out.

Monday Madness

February 26, 2007

1. Some of you are really staying up on everything and I am impressed. Some of you are falling behind and need to catch up desperately. Today JEGS WORKS QUIZ/ASSIGNMENT must be handed in…and assignment Quiz 2 started.

2. Look at the Marking Criteria link which is in the Academic links and see if you have covered all your bases. The Secondary Blog marking will occur this week.

3. If you have managed to finish all of this then continue on with Jeg’s Tutorial lessons “Computer Basics”, “Working with Windows”, and “Working with Words”.

4. If you have finished all of this, pat yourself on the back, you have earned the right to surf the net, but no still no gaming.

Morting along.

PS. For today’s comment give me some information about the 2007 Oscar Awards.

I like powder.

February 23, 2007

1. That’s right people…tomorrow you’ll be able to choke on some powda…but for this class you must continue to work on Jeg’s Works Tutorials. Hopefully you have finished all of Series 1 & 2 if you are Grade 9 and Series 3 & 4 if you are Grade 11 or 12 and emailed them to calebmorton2001@yahoo.ca?

2. Today I will also be giving you last year’s TEST on Jeg’s Works Computer Basics Sections 1-3…this year it will be an assignment rather than a test because many student’s found it to be extremely difficult. This will give you an idea of what kind of TEST you will be receiving for the next sections. This must be handed in at the end of today’s class.

3. Also today I would like you to find a trailer for your favorite movie of all time and put it in a post. Below the trailer I would like a minimum five sentence explanation of why you chose this flick.

Enjoy your weekend. Morton

Don’t lag behind…

February 22, 2007

1. Many students are starting to get too far behind others…pick up the pace.

2. I also notice some of you are forgetting to leave comments on my blog each class.

3. Yes, Jegs Works is tedious, however, it is required, so don’t avoid it! Click here and go.

Morton

PS Bonus if you give the identity of the mouse.

I know, I know.

February 21, 2007

Have you finished the Word Processing Series? Get er’ down.

If you have you may be feeling like Jeg’s Works is simply not stimulating enough…well, it is definitely better than reading that information out of a text book or listening to me chat away for hours on end. There is something great about being able to learn at your own pace. Skim the parts you know, focus on the sections that are unfamiliar…these tutorials may take up to 10 classes.

Strictly Morton.

Keep clicking.

February 20, 2007

1. Still some people have not used the link function within the Write Post menu for highlighting a word in your post and allowing someone to click on it in order to take them to another website…everyone was supposed to have one post that did this, along with a little summary of the news article you chose.

2. All the blog marking should be finished.

3. All the Series are nearly finished??

4. Begin Jeg’s Works: Computer Basics (9s) and Working with Words (11s).

That’s all Morton.

Good Morning Monday!

February 19, 2007

1. Hand in your Evaluation Sheets for the Preliminary Blog Marks.

2. Make some repairs or corrections to your blog if you did not receive a perfect mark from your peers, ask them what you are missing and how to make it better…then I will mark it again this weekend (I already have one mark for you, but let’s see the team spirit of the class help one another out).

3.Grade 9s: Finish the Word Processing Activities for Series 1 and Series 2.
Grade 11s: Finish the Word Processing Activities for Series 2 and Series 3.
Marissa work on your presentation.
Remember to save in an ‘IT’ folder in your U:drive and to attach a copy to an email with a proper subject line to calebmorton2001@yahoo.ca DON’T PRINT!!

4. If all that is complete you are ready for this week’s tutorials. Click on the Jeg’s Works link:
Grade 9’s click on the Computer Basics link on the right side (Lessons 1-12)…there will be a lot of reading to do, some exercises, and some practice quizzes. I will also be making up some quizzes of my own to ensure that you are taking the time to read through the lessons.
Grade 11-12’s click on the Working with Windows (Project 1 and 2).(Some of you may wish to quickly review the Computer Basics lessons to see if you actually remember it all…there will be a test on it.)

There will be Tests for Jeg’s Works so read each lesson carefully.

2. Finish all of yesterday’s assignments.

Don’t tell me you are finished…there’s way to much to do in Jeg’s Works to be finished.

Cunningly Morton
