Seniors only!

May 31, 2007

Firstly, continue to work on your webpages, you have a maximum of two classes left for this project.

Secondly, the scoop: there are 13 classes left, which is actually a fair bit of time. I know that some people do not favor developing a game (RPG) and may find it painful to use the rest of the time to do such. Some of you on the other hand could definitely ten more days to develop and 3 to play each other games, am I correct? So the deal is that those who wish to do a project other than RPG may, but only after they finish the basics, which requires meeting the criteria in a more basic manner. Once the criteria is met you may start a final project that you propose to me. This proposal must be approved by me and must be written as a lengthly post on your blog.

Everyone must leave me a comment today to tell me of which path they choose.

Let’s go RPG!!

May 30, 2007

First off we must finish viewing the Music Powerpoints…then…

I hope everyone is now ready?

RPG (role playing game) maker allows you to design your own adventure game.
There is quite a bit of criteria to include in the development of your adventure…click here.

For the newer version (compliments of Will)
Go to the T:drive/From Will/RPG Maker - rxp…COPY this folder and PASTE it into your U:drive then install it in your U:drive.

For the older version
Go to my computer, click on the apps P:driver, then rpg maker, then RPGMaker 2000 1.07b and create a NEW folder titled RPG in your U:drive this is where all parts of the program must be installed. Then go back to my computer P:drive and click on RPGMaker 2000 RTP 1.32 English Add-On, once this has finished installing click on RPGMaker 2000 RTP, and begin designing your own game by going to your U:drive and double clicking on the RPG castle icon!!

PS. There seems to be a bit of a problem with the RPG maker in that every time you try to open the problem after having logged off you will have to reintall the RPGMaker 2000 RTP 1.32 English Add-On from the P:drive!!

Here are some links to tutorial sites…I am not an expert on rpg maker…I will be learning along with you.

Webpage Design

May 24, 2007

Of course you could use html code for designing a webpage, in fact it is not that difficult to learn, however sites that have premade embeded codes allow you to do virtually anything you can imagine and more. So check out piczo, freewebs, freewebpages, etc. and chose the webpage maker you want then follow the criteria.
To see a sample of one I made a few years back click here.

Okay, get to it.

Watch em, them web em.

May 23, 2007

That’s right, we’ll finish all of your lovely music powerpoint presentations…then we will begin the next major assignment….will it be Web Page design or will it be RPG…for the Seniors it will be Web Pages first, while the Juniors can begin the RPG maker seeing as they do not have many classes left. Time is flying…both assignments are on the marking criteria page.

Seniors day…

May 22, 2007

Seniors, have you made your Moon debate posts yet?

We will not watch the music powerpoints today… I would like the Youngsters to see them at the same time as you.

If you have made your Moon post, you rock and it’s time to begin working on your own Webpage. The criteria has been set.

You may choose from a variety of free webpage building sites. I chose freewebs because it seemed straight forward and dependable, but some people tell me that piczo is a lot easier to use. Let me know if there are others you would like to use.
