So that is it, the end of the line. I hope you all have a wonderful summer and keep updating your blogs, I may take a peek every once in a while, especially when I am abroad.
Morton really out.

Today you should be marking each other’s games.
You may or may not have heard…I am in fact taking a two year leave of absence from School District # 8 and will be going to Las Palmas, which is a part of the Canary Islands, a colony of Spain. The world though small in terms of the universe is immensely big for you and I, so I have decided to explore for a couple more years before all the other responsibilities of life become even greater. I wish you all well, remember to be good to one another, you live in a small town and the your actions are known by everyone. Think of school as an opportunity, a privilegde, not a punishment. The teachers here do all that they can for you, they care for you, they want you to succeed, and often you forget about that.
Thank you for being honest, for trying your best, and for being a part of Morton’s class.
THE LAST GAME DAY!!
And here’s a tid bit on the the Canary Islands…
I will miss all of you and will be back in two years time.
Morton out.
Hello Seniors…Sam I may have a special task for you (but first you should finish your website or at least put a link to it on your blog). All others should be working on the Gamemaker project. Talisa and Aleta way to go with the brochures, save them to the T:drive/From Morton!! Nice work on your webpages Kei, Talisa, and Aleta!
Lorne where is your webpage?
Missed you on Monday Kei and where the heck were you Marissa? Steph where were you on Friday and where is the link to your website? Saki and Masaki you better be finished your old projects!
Steph had the best comment on yesterday’s post. The awkward thing above the time dial are tears.

One IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Make sure you have one Inn or Shop that is easy to find on the first or second map that sells all the custom weapons and spells you made. Also make sure that the plot of your adventure is given on the first map and that the three quests are obvious and clearly defined.
I believe that most of you are coming close to finishing the RPG assignment. Continue on. Help others if you are finished. Make another game with Gamemaker (P:drive). And finally, test play other students games.
Morton still in.

Well, another quite class for us. I know that many of you are ready to get on with the Gamemaker project, which is fabulous. Sam, I have still not played your game, my apologies but I am constantly interrupted…you know how it is…hopefully today I can play a bit.
I think the Gamemaker project will run till the end of the course…wonderful finish with game playing the last two classes I hope.

Seniors, you know what you have to do. Your webpages are finished now, yes? Better be. So it is time to begin playing with Gamemaker. Lorne…are you ready?
Juniors, there are only 3 classes left after today, so use this class and the next to finish up your games, then we will play them for the last two classes.

Seniors…you have officially used up all your “Get out of Jail Free” cards…today you must finish your webpages and with 8 classes left after today begin the next assignment. The Gamemaker program is easy once Lorin or I give you a few tips. The RPG is a bit more involved. The brochure could be a lot of fun depending on the topic you choose. Leave me a comment telling me what you wish to do.

I like what I see with the Juniors designing games and working hard even during their lunch hours. Seniors (other than Sam, Marissa, and Lorin) you must be finished your webpages today!! Marissa you keep getting that webpage up to snuff. Sam you are on a solo mission with RPG, way to go!! Now, Steph, Kei, Talisa, Aleta, Masaki, and Saki you have to make a choice between a BROCHURE…or Lorin has offered to teach all of you how to use GAME MAKER, which will satisfy the game making component…in his words, "It is a heck of a lot easier than RPG!" Let me know what you want to do. Morton
